Hulu Watch Party lets you watch movies and TV shows with friends remotely by syncing your video and audio. It’s a fun way to enjoy content together, even if you’re not in the same room. The only limitation is that users under 18 cannot create or join a Watch Party.

How to Create or Join a Hulu Watch Party

Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. Log in to Hulu: Go to Hulu.com and sign in to your account.
  2. Pick Your Movie or Show: Browse for the content you want to watch and open the Details page.
  3. Start the Party: Look for the co-watching icon (three silhouettes) and click “Start Party.”
  4. Invite Friends: Copy the link by clicking the chain icon and send it to the people you want to invite.
  5. Join the Party: To join, click the link you receive from the host. If you’re over 18, you’ll automatically join.

Supported Devices

Hulu Watch Party is only available on the web version of Hulu. It works on computers running:

  • Mac OS X 10.13 or higher
  • Windows 10 or 11
  • Chrome OS

You’ll need to use a recent version of one of these browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Make sure HTML5, JavaScript, and Cookies are enabled for the best experience.

How Many People Can Join?

A Watch Party can have up to 8 people. You can chat with each other using text, or even use apps like Discord for voice chat. If you want to include more people, you can stream Hulu through other services like Discord or FaceTime, but there might be a slight delay.

What Shows Can You Watch?

Most content on Hulu supports Watch Party. When browsing, look for the Watch Party icon to know if a show or movie supports the feature. Many Hulu originals also work with Watch Party.

With these easy steps, you can enjoy Hulu together with friends no matter where they are!
