LG applied the Super name to its televisions and brought these televisions into a separate Super lineup in 2016. The difference between these TVs is that they support HDR, which requires higher quality displays. But now HDR support is standard, and all manufacturers have started supporting the HDR standard. In 2017, LG announced that the 2017 Super UHD TVs have improved displays. It also came up with a commercial name for these displays, NanoCell.

Nano Cell displays are now installed in higher-end TVs in terms of picture quality. LG’s 8 and 9 series TVs are now part of a separate line of LG Super UHD TV 4K TVs.

LG televisions produced are now divided into three categories based on screen type.

  • LED TVs
  • Super UHD TV 4K
  • OLED TVs

LineUP UHD, Super UHD LG TV 2017, Serie J

Series 6, 7, 8, and 9 UHD TV models are available for purchase in 2017. You should know that the 6 and 7 series are TVs with regular screens. LG’s UHD TVs in series 8 and 9 are positioned as a premium series with SUHD displays.

You should know that, for example, the SJ8000 is the basic model, depending on the region or country for which the TV is made, there may be a difference in the model name, and there may be different design modifications. Therefore, your country may well offer the SJ8100 or SJ8050 model.
