HDMI

High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) — interface for high-definition multimedia, allowing you to transfer digital video and high-resolution multi-channel digital audio signals with copy protection (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection, HDCP). HDMI socket provides digital DVI-connection of several devices with the appropriate cables. For such connectors are connecting to a TV for different devices:

• computer
• DVD player
• gaming consoles
• Blu-ray players

HDMI has a bandwidth between 4.9 and 10.2 Gb / s

There are several HDMI standards and manufacturers specify a transmission standard is supported, the example HDMI 1.3 or HDMI 1.4

• HDMI founders are companies Hitachi, Matsushita Electric Industrial (now Panasonic) (Panasonic / National / Technics / Quasar), Philips, Silicon Image, Sony, Thomson (RCA).

USB

 Universal Serial Bus —Serial data transmission between electronic devices.

For connecting peripheral devices to the USB bus used four-wire cable, two wires are used to transmit and receive data, and the two leads – to power the peripheral device. With built-in USB power lines allows you to connect a USB device without its own power supply. USB provides 5V 0.5A is standard, but due to the increase of devices that consume more power 0.5A, in TVs and set ports to output increased power 1A. In the picture you can see (increasing) TV Samsung SMART TV 3D Full HD LED UE40ES6100 that the lower USB connector signed HDD 5V 1A.

Uses two standard USB 2.0, USB 3.0

USB 3.0 is the third major version of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard for computer connectivity. Among other improvements, USB 3.0 adds a new transfer mode called “SuperSpeed” (SS), capable of transferring data at up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s), which is more than ten times as fast as the 480 Mbit/s (60 MB/s) high speed of USB_2.0″.

Beside different connectors used on USB 3.0 cables, they are also distinguishable from their 2.0 counterparts by either the blue color of the ports or the SS initials on the plugs.

USB is used in TV sets for connecting external storage devices and webcams.

Component  (Y / Pb / Pr)

Component input for receiving an analog signal on the TV. Transmits the following signals

• Y —transmits the brightness level and clock pulses. indicated by yellow green circle
• Pb — conveys the difference between blue and luminance level is indicated by a blue circle
• Pr — conveys the difference between the level of brightness of red and indicated by a red circle

Since transmission on component input signal is converted less, there is less loss of image quality compared to standard RGB connection (SCART). Samsung in many models of modern TV sets are not RGB connectors, but only component.

 (AV) x 1 (Audio Common for Component)

Component or Composite connectors can only be transmitted video to the audio using the composite audio input.

 S/PDIF

Designed to transmit sound from the TV via an optical cable to the digital format. It is used when the viewer wants to bring sound to external speakers.

 Scart, RGB, RCA

Scart European standard connector to connect multimedia devices such as TV, VCR, DVD-player SCART connection unifies different devices, it combines all the necessary signals in one connector.

In Ethernet, LAN

Standard connector for connecting the TV to a computer network, to ensure the output from the TV to the Internet, as well as to create a home network.
Through it, there is a connection to the Smart TV, Skype, Netflix, Youtube.
As well as installing special software on your computer you can watch movies from your computer.

in «IR Out»

is used to connect the infrared adapter. TV is equipped with the universal remote control that lets you control a cable box, players Blu-ray, home theater and the other connected to the TV by external third-party devices using the remote control.

By installing the adapter, you have the opportunity to work with only one remote control.
