The Samsung Q90T is part of the company’s premium 9-series QLED lineup released in 2020. The Q90T continues to deliver excellent picture performance with a VA panel, 3840×2160 4K UHD resolution, 10-bit color support, and Quantum Dot technology, offering 100% color volume. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and features Motion Rate 240 for smooth playback in fast-paced scenes. A major improvement comes from the Direct Full Array 16X backlighting system combined with Ultimate UHD Dimming Pro, delivering better contrast, deeper blacks, and improved shadow detail compared to the Q90R and Q9F.

Audio Performance and Features

The sound system in the Q90T is powerful, featuring a 4.2.2 channel setup with 60W total output. It includes a built-in woofer and Object Tracking Sound technology, which lets audio follow the action on screen. Additionally, Q-Symphony support allows the TV’s speakers to work in harmony with a compatible Samsung soundbar, providing richer and more immersive audio.

The Q90T runs on Tizen OS version 5.5, which offers a faster, smoother experience than previous versions. It includes built-in support for voice assistants like Google Assistant, Alexa, and Bixby—no software updates required. Samsung’s Smart Hub platform is also integrated, giving users access to services like TV Plus, music apps, and sports content. It also includes eARC support via one of the HDMI 2.0 ports, enabling high-quality audio passthrough to sound systems. Remote Control

The remote control for the Q90T is the TM2050C in North America and the TM2090C in Europe. It’s a sleek, refined version of Samsung’s OneRemote, maintaining easy navigation and the ability to control other Samsung devices. It offers both form and function in a minimal package.

Compared to the Q90R (2019) and Q9F (2018), the Q90T features improved local dimming, a more advanced backlighting system, a refined sound experience, and the latest Tizen OS.
