In 2020, Samsung introduced two models of televisions with Q90T and Q95T quantum dot screens, but this is only in some countries, for example, only the Q90T model will be sold in 2020 in the USA and Canada. The Q95T TV model will be available in Europe as well as in some other countries.
Key differences between the Q95T and Q90T
By technical specifications, these are the same TVs. But there are significant differences in the design that someone might not like. The main difference between TVs is that the Q95T consists of two parts, a screen and a control module with ports, One Connect. Between themselves, the screen and One connect are connected by a special cable.
Also on some sites it is reported that the Q95T model received a screen with a color depth of 8 bits, FRC (backlight blinking) technology is used to increase the number of shades. But we have not yet found confirmation of this message. On the official sites of Samsung, this is not reported.
No significant differences between Q90T and Q95T
The Q95T also comes with a 85-inch screen. The Q90T will not ship with a screen of 85 inches. This is a marketing solution to increase the appeal of the Q95T. In the USA, the Q90T is also offered with a 85-inch screen.
Specifications Q90T and Q95T
The technical specifications of the TVs are the same. Detailed specifications are given in the table below. But note that TVs have screens that can show video with a frame rate of up to 120 per second. Screens are made by VA technology. In Europe, for assessing video quality, the PQI image quality index is used; in 2020, it is 4,300 units on Q90T and Q95T series televisions.
