In 2017, LG introduced a line of OLED TVs with premium OLED displays. Let’s take a look at the available TVs. The series consists of five models: W7P, G7P, E7P, C7P, B7P

All five TVs have the same core technologies: 4K Ultra HD resolution, self-illuminating OLED panels with perfect black color reproduction and infinite contrast, HDR support (including Dolby Vision and HDR10), and the LG webOS smart TV platform.

Despite similar technical specifications, each model is positioned slightly differently. The main differences are in design, body materials, audio systems, and mounting options. For example, the W7P (Wallpaper series) is ultra-thin and mounts flush against the wall, while the G7P and E7P feature a premium glass design and enhanced sound. The C7P and B7P are focused on delivering similar picture quality at a more affordable price point with a simpler aesthetic.

LG OLED W7 (OLED65W7P / OLED77W7P)

The W7 is part of LG’s premium SIGNATURE line and is designed as an ultra-thin “wallpaper TV.” The TV consists of two parts: an extremely thin OLED panel and an external system unit that houses the electronics and built-in speakers. These components are connected by thin, almost transparent cables, allowing the screen to be mounted flush against the wall for a minimalist look. The TV comes with two premium remote controls (MR15A/SP16A or MR15B/SP16B), emphasizing its flagship status.

Overall, the W7 is aimed at users who value design, cutting-edge aesthetics, and OLED performance.

LG OLED G7 (OLED65G7P)

The LG OLED G7 is part of the LG SIGNATURE series and is a premium OLED TV with an emphasis on design and functionality. Like the W7, it features an advanced OLED panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution, perfect black color reproduction, infinite contrast, and full HDR support, including Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Unlike the W7’s separate wall-mounted display, the G7 has an external control unit built into a sturdy stand that also houses a built-in speaker system. This all-in-one stand design eliminates the need for wall mounting while maintaining a clean, high-end look. The TV comes with two remote controls.

LG OLED E7 (OLED65E7P)

The LG OLED E7 has a more traditional design compared to the W7 and G7 models, but still retains a premium look. The TV is mounted on a special table stand, and all the electronics and control board are built directly into the TV body, eliminating the need for an external unit. It delivers 4K OLED picture quality with perfect black color reproduction.

The TV comes with a single Magic Remote that provides voice control and point-and-click navigation. Overall, the OLED E7 is designed for users who want flagship OLED picture quality in a classic, standalone TV design without external components.

 LG OLED C7 (OLED65C7P)

The LG OLED C7 is very similar to the E7 in terms of functionality and image quality, offering the same 4K OLED panel with perfect black color reproduction, infinite contrast, and full HDR support.

The main differences are in design and audio. The C7 has a white back panel, which gives it a lighter and more modern look. To further differentiate it from the E7, the built-in sound system has been simplified slightly: the C7 features two 10W speakers and two 10W subwoofers, providing solid sound, though not as refined as the higher-end models.

LG OLED B7 (OLED65B7P)

The LG OLED B7 is the base model in LG’s 2017 OLED TV lineup, offering the same 4K OLED picture quality with perfect black color reproduction. The B7 is similar in design to the C7, but has a black finish and a distinctive semi-circular stand, giving it a slightly different aesthetic while maintaining its elegance and modernity. Its audio system is comparable to the C7. The B7 is ideal for users who want OLED picture quality in a classic, understated design at a more affordable price.
