How to find the production date of Samsung dishwasher

A dishwasher is not the kind of appliance people replace very often. If you live in a rental apartment or house, you might not even know when your Samsung dishwasher was manufactured. However, if the time comes for a repair, knowing the production date can be very important.

In most cases, you won’t find a clear manufacturing date in the purchase documents. Instead, you’ll need to look up the model number and, ideally, the serial number of your dishwasher.

The eighth and ninth characters of the serial number indicate the year and month of manufacture. For example, a certain combination of letters and numbers may indicate that the dishwasher was manufactured in January 2022. The information sticker on your dishwasher provides all the key details. It lists the power consumption in amps, the mains voltage, and the model number. The model number can also be found in the barcode: two letters appear after the model number, separated by a slash, indicating the model modification. The label also shows the serial number and the production date. If the production date is not printed separately, it can be determined from the serial number by looking at the 8th and 9th characters from left to right.
