HDMI (HDCP 2.2) This is a copy protection data version 2.2
At first, HDMI HDCP was developed as a protected data to connect devices to transmit high-resolution video. And a time again was developed a protocol 2.2 to provide better protection. And this version of protocol isn't supported by earlier versions of HDMI HDCP. One of the requirements for manufacturers of devices with 4K video support is the installation of ports that support HDCP 2.2.
If you have a Blu-Ray player with an HDMI 2.0 port with support for HDCP 2.2, and you want to run a movie on it, your TV must support HDCP 2.2 encryption to watch it.
