The LG UF7600, UF7690 and UF7650 are 4K LED TV series released in 2015. They use LG’s webOS Smart TV platform and offer a range of picture settings that allow you to adjust the image for different viewing conditions.
The recommended settings below can be used as a starting point for these TV series. The exact picture quality may vary between individual TVs, screen sizes and viewing environments, so some settings, especially backlight and white balance, may require additional adjustment.
How to access the picture settings
To adjust the picture on an LG UF7600-series TV:
- Press the Settings button on the remote.
- Open All Settings.
- Select Picture.
- Open Picture Mode Settings.
- Select the picture mode you want to adjust.
For the settings below, ISF Expert 1 can be used as the starting picture mode.

These values are intended as a starting point rather than fixed requirements. In particular, Backlight should be adjusted according to the lighting in the room. A higher backlight level is useful in a bright room, while a lower level is usually more comfortable in a dark room.
Sharpness is set to 0 to avoid adding artificial edge enhancement. Dynamic Contrast, Super Resolution, and noise-reduction functions are turned off to avoid unnecessary processing when the source already provides a good-quality image.
Just Scan should normally be enabled when available because it allows compatible video signals to be displayed without unnecessary overscan.
White balance settings
White balance is different from the basic picture settings because it is affected by the individual panel. Two TVs from the same series can require different white-balance corrections.
The original calibration values for these models are shown below. They should therefore be treated as calibration data, not universal settings that must be applied to every UF7600, UF7690 or UF7650.

White balance calibration is normally performed using measurement equipment. If you do not have a colorimeter or spectrophotometer, it is generally better to leave the white-balance controls at their default values rather than applying large corrections from another TV.
Settings for different viewing conditions
The Backlight setting is the main adjustment you should make for your room.
In a bright room, increase the backlight if the picture appears too dark. In a dark room, reduce it to make the image more comfortable to watch.
The other basic settings do not normally need to be changed every time the room lighting changes.
For movies and TV programs, the settings above provide a neutral starting point. For games, you may want to use a low-latency picture mode if your TV provides one.
