What was new in LG TVs in 2016
The 2016 lineup reflected several important changes in the TV market.

How to identify a 2016 LG TV
LG used different model-number systems for its LED/LCD and OLED televisions.
For conventional LG LED/LCD TVs, the letter H corresponds to the 2016 model year. For example, an older model using the H generation belongs to the 2016 lineup.
OLED televisions used a different system. In a model such as OLED65C6, the 6 identifies the 2016 model year. LG’s OLED model-year system continued with 7 for 2017, 8 for 2018, 9 for 2019, X for 2020, and so on.
The model number identifies the TV generation, but it does not necessarily tell you the exact manufacturing date. For that, the serial number is more useful because it contains information about the individual television and its production date.
