The Samsung Q70A and Samsung Q80A are two mid-range 2021 TVs that offer acceptable picture and sound quality, but they have some differences in features.
The Samsung Q70A has a 4K resolution screen and uses Quantum Dot technology for vibrant and rich colors. It utilizes EDGE LED backlight technology with Dual LED system for better picture quality. The sound on the Q70A is a 20W 2-channel system, with no woofer, but with Object Tracking Sound to track movement on the screen when watching content.
The Samsung Q80A also uses Quantum Dot and 4K resolution, but features Direct Full Array 8x backlighting for even deeper blacks and improved contrast. Unlike the Q70A, the Q80A features a 2.2.2-channel sound system with a woofer and 60 watts of power to create a more spacious and powerful sound. It’s also worth noting that the Q80A supports higher HDR with Quantum HDR 12x and has additional features like Expert Calibration and Dynamic Black EQ to improve the picture in games and movies.
Both models run on the Tizen 6.0 operating system and support Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2 as well as Google Assistant, Alexa and Samsung SmartThings for convenient smart home management. They have FreeSync Premium Pro support for gaming and a host of other useful features such as Ambient Mode, Filmmaker Mode and Game Motion Plus.
The main differences between the models are sound quality, backlighting, and contrast levels. The Q80A is a more advanced option for those who appreciate improved picture and sound quality, while the Q70A is a more affordable but still high-quality choice for most users.

VA or ADS Visually, it’s easy to tell.
ADS is an IPS screen matrix technology.
Look at the image by moving from the center of the screen up and down, if the image contrast changes (usually increases when viewed from above, decreases when viewed from below), then it is a VA matrix, if the image does not lose contrast (remains unchanged), then it is a TV with an ADS screen.
Hi, how can I identify the panel type VA / ADS from service menu? This is a screenshot,
